Alcohol and Aggression

A07601750

At Sun God a few weeks ago during the main performance, it is expected that everyone is going to be tightly packed on the field. This individual who came out of no where reeked of alcohol and you can tell from his eyes that he was really inebriated. He tried squeezing through everyone to get the front near the stage. There was no room to really walk through as people were side by side. This drunk guy eventually starts going on a little drunken tirade and pisses off people around him. This other guy tells him to calm down and the drunk guy takes it as an act of violence. The drunk guy was inclined to start a fight on the spot after the "calm down" comment. As I look back at that little event that went on for about 15 minutes, I can apply some psychology into it. From Chapter 12 of the book, the drunk guy being officially drunk off his mind, he reacted to the situation more violently compared to a sober person. In the case of a sober person, in which this guy was not, a sober person would react to the "calm down" comment a bit more gently.
