If everyone ignores the person in need of help; everyone else also finds it socially acceptable to ignore that person also. However, if someone shows concern for the person in need, an out pour of support comes to aid.

A08267523. This video shows that even though a girl was being abducted by a stranger and many people saw this, no one did anything to help because they assumed that others would take on the responsibility to help (part of the bystander effect)
