In the lecture on Altruism last week, the TV series "My Name is Earl" came to my mind. In the series, each episode is about the character, Earl, trying to achieve a set goal for a good deed to fix what he has done wrong. I thought that this could apply with the negative state relief model we learned about in lecture. To feel good about himself again, Earl is inclined to do good deeds for others. This post isn't as interesting because I could not find a short clip applying this concept because the entire series is made up of it, but it is a funny show if you guys want to look into it.
